New Business Timings in Sindh: Shops and Malls to Close Early Under New Notification

The Government of Sindh has issued a fresh notification regarding revised business hours across the province as part of new energy conservation and austerity measures.​According to the official directive effective from today, April 10, 2026, all markets, shopping malls, and retail shops in Karachi and other divisional headquarters must close by 9:00 PM. For all other districts, the closing time has been set at 8:00 PM.

Karachi & Major Cities – Closing time: 9:00 PM

​Other Districts: Closing time 8:00 PM​

Exemptions: Pharmacies, hospitals…​

Restaurants: Dining services until 11:00 Pm

​Local authorities have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the new timings. Small business owners in Sindh have expressed mixed reactions, urging the government to reconsider the hours during the weekend.
