The Government of Sindh has officially declared Saturday, April 4, 2026, as a public holiday across the province. ​According to the notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, the holiday is announced to observe the 47th death anniversary of the former Prime Minister and founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

​What will remain closed?​All government offices and departments.​Autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies. ​Corporations and local councils under provincial control.

Educational institutions (Schools and Colleges). ​Essential services, such as hospitals and emergency departments, will remain functional as per routine. This year, the PPP has reportedly moved toward more subdued commemorations, focusing on Quran recitation at district levels rather than large-scale rallies. Citizens are advised to plan their travel accordingly, as the holiday coincides with a predicted rain system entering the province.
