Sindh Awami Forum Hyderabad session

Hyderabad – Intellectuals, social reformers, and nationalist leaders have expressed concern that Sindh is increasingly coming under pressure from multiple directions. They warned that new laws are being passed to target Sindh’s unity, resources, land, and cities. These leaders stressed that through sustained struggle, all anti-Sindh forces will be confronted, and no scheme aimed at undermining Sindh will succeed.

These remarks were made during a public session organized by the Sindh Awami Forum in Hyderabad. The session was attended by prominent figures including Habib Khan Jatoi (Chairman, Sindh Awami Forum), Anwar Hajano (Central Vice Chairman), Amreshi Thakur, Dr. Hasan Laghari, Akbar Khan Jatoi (Chairman, Hari Committee), Advocate Sattar Sarki (Leader, Democratic Alliance), lawyer leaders KB Laghari, Aslam Laghari, and representatives of civil society.The leaders strongly criticized the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments, calling them a direct threat to Sindh’s unity. They noted that new laws aim to seize control over finances and water resources, effectively treating Sindh as a colony. Decisions about the future of Sindh are being made in Islamabad without the consent of its people.They further emphasized that anti-Sindh forces are attempting to weaken the province from multiple fronts, but Sindh’s defenders will not tolerate any law or action that threatens the province. The leaders pledged to raise their voices on every platform to safeguard Sindh’s independence, dignity, and peace. They concluded by reminding authorities that Sindh has been a free and sovereign land for centuries, and its every citizen will protect the province’s land, borders, and future generations.
