Protest in Umerkot After Young Man Brutally Murdered

Late last night, in central Umerkot near the famous Moti Chowk, a young man named Ismail Samejo was brutally murdered. Reports say that he was attacked and succumbed to his injuries shortly before reaching the hospital, despite filming a video in the aftermath.Eyewitnesses stated that 15 police personnel were present nearby at the scene but failed to intervene.In response to the incident, residents of Umerkot staged a protest and sit in at the Press Club, demanding justice. Ismail’s parents confirmed that he worked as a vehicle mechanic and had no known enmities.After approximately six hours, SSP Aziz Ahmed Memon assured the public of the immediate arrest of the culprits, following which the protest was peacefully concluded.
